Chili

Ingredients
1 Tbsp avocado oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1 yellow onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, diced
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt & pepper, each
1 (15 oz can) no salt added black beans, water removed
1 (15 oz can) no salt added kidney beans, water removed
2 (15 oz can) no salt added sodium diced tomatoes
1 (7 oz can) diced hatch green chili
½ Tbsp cocoa powder
Serve with toppings of your choice: shredded cheese, cilantro, jalapeno, avocado, tortilla chips, or greek yogurt
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add avocado oil & ground beef and cook, stirring consistently until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes.
Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper and cook until onions are translucent, 2-3 minutes. Add spices and cook until fragrant, 1-2 minutes.
Add beans, tomatoes, chilis and bring to a light simmer.
Add cocoa powder and continue to simmer for another 5- 10 minutes
Serve with desired toppings
